GLD VISION

GLD desires to develop mature, godly African Leaders who are competent to nurture their Churches and Ministries in God’s Word and equip them for effective ministry in their localities and beyond.

GLD MISSION

Working in collaboration with other ministries of a similar vision, GLD exists to develop mature, godly African Leaders who are competent to provide their churches and ministries with sound, biblical spiritual nurture and equip them for effective ministry in their localities and beyond.

GLD PROCESS

GLD addresses key spiritual and leadership needs that are so prevalent among African Church Leaders in the following ways:

1. Creating a foundational curriculum that addresses the most critical needs of church leaders, including essential subjects such as assurance of salvation, spiritual growth, Bible study techniques, expository biblical preaching, and other topics identified through well-designed surveys (Proverbs 18:13).

2. Conducting training conferences and seminars for church leaders following the curriculum mentioned above. Special focus will be made on the young African “indigenous” churches, which have the fastest church growth rates and yet exhibit the greatest leadership training needs.

3. Collaborating with Christian individuals and organizations who share GLD's vision to achieve our mission.

4. Recruiting capable local church leaders from among the pool of trained or those who already had training in African evangelical seminaries and giving them the “Training of Trainers” (TOT) so they can train other needy church leaders (2 Tim. 2:2).

5. Equipping church leaders with a basic library, which can assist them in their personal spiritual growth, sermon preparation, counseling, and leadership and management needs in their churches.

6. Supporting African church leaders in whatever way the Lord guides us through our collaboration.
